The law stated and eye for an eye. This stated that if a boy hit his parent the father was then allowed to cut the boys hand off. Another law that was if you steal, you will be sentenced to death almost immediately after the crime.

First Lesson

Today we started the first lesson in western civ. Western world is made up of the Americas. We talked about how prehistory is is before things were written down. Also, about 200,000 years ago the first humans emerged. These species we much hairier and more hunched to the ground. This was in the Paleolithic Age, the Neolithic age is when advanced material  was in use. The agricultural revolution is when the hunters and gathers finally began a civilization and everyone in the city had a different job. The invention of the plow and wheel was a huge technological advance due to the fact it could feed more people, and make a broader area of crop space. Most villagers in this new city were polytheists, which means the worshipped nature and animals as gods. Mesopotamia (now Iraq) used to be much more green (nature wise) and  Sumer is land between Tigris and Euphrates river, this city had kings, more food storage, and invented the first form of writing called "cuneiform."

First day in Western Civilization.

Today was our first day in Western Civilization. We also had a 2 hour delay. We were told to make design a new blog that was titled Western Civilization. We didn't have that much time today because we had a 2 hour delay and we were watching a movie about women gaining more control. I hope this semester to get an A for both quarter in Semester 2. I designed my blog and changed the template.
